SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager with POPM Certification Training Course
Develop the skills needed to lead value delivery in a Lean enterprise — and learn the activities, tools, and mechanisms used to manage backlogs and programs — by becoming a SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). In this two-day course, participants gain in-depth knowledge of the Agile Release Train (ART), how it delivers value, and how to effectively perform their role.
Participants will also learn how to apply Lean thinking to create Epics, decompose them into Features and Stories, plan and manage Iterations, and plan Program Increments. Finally, participants will explore the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, learn how to effectively integrate into the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager, and understand what is needed for continuous improvement of the ART.
To perform the role of a SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, participants should be able to:
- Apply SAFe in a Lean enterprise
- Connect Lean-Agile principles and values with the roles of PO/PM
- Collaborate with Lean Portfolio Management
- Discover continuous value through Program Increment planning
- Execute the Program Increment and deliver continuous value
- Describe the roles of the Product Owner and Product Manager
- Create an action plan for their role
