Course Outline
Module 1: Overview & Architecture
Analyze the Dynamics 365 ecosystem and its key components within the Finance and Operations (FO) software, explain the architecture of D365FO, and outline relevant design and deployment considerations for D365FO.
Module 2: Developer Tools
Oversee system implementations via Lifecycle Services, customize D365FO using Visual Studio, manage source code and artifacts through version control, and utilize additional development tools to execute tasks.
Module 3: Solution Design
Identify the necessary application stack components and server architecture, implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and design comprehensive solutions for D365FO.
Module 4: AOT Elements
Create forms, build and extend tables, develop Extended Data Types (EDT) and enumerations, and construct classes while extending existing AOT elements.
Module 5: Code Development & Testing
Write X++ code, develop object-oriented code, enhance D365 FO functionality, explain the testing framework and associated tools, and conduct Unit Testing.
Module 6: Data Migration
Explain migration tools and methodologies, formulate a migration strategy, prepare data for transfer, and execute data migration.
Lab: Data Export/Import using Data Entity
Module 7: Frameworks
Implement functionality within D365 FO.
Module 8: Integration
Identify patterns and scenarios for data integration, implement concepts and solutions for data integration, establish recurring integrations, integrate D365FO with Microsoft Azure, troubleshoot integration errors, and implement the Data Management Package API.
Module 9: Reporting
Outline the capabilities and constraints of reporting tools in D365FO, design, create, and update Dynamics Reports, design, create, and modify Dynamics workspaces, and design, create, and revise data sources that connect to external data stores outside of D365FO.
Module 10: Security & Performance
Describe and utilize performance tools along with LCS Environment Monitoring tools, implement role-based security policies and requirements, apply core performance optimization techniques, optimize performance for batch processes, enhance user interface performance, improve integration performance, and optimize report performance.
