About This Course
This course delves into three core aspects of Microsoft 365 enterprise administration: security management, compliance management, and device management. In the security management section, you will explore common threat vectors and data breaches that organizations face today, and learn how Microsoft 365's security solutions mitigate these risks. You will be introduced to tools like the Microsoft Secure Score and Azure Active Directory Identity Protection. Additionally, you will gain skills in managing various Microsoft 365 security services, such as Exchange Online Protection, Advanced Threat Protection, Safe Attachments, and Safe Links. The course also covers how to use reports to monitor your organization's security health and leverage threat intelligence through the Security Dashboard and Advanced Threat Analytics.
Moving on to compliance management, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of data governance in Microsoft 365. This includes data archiving and retention, Information Rights Management, Secure Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension (S/MIME), Office 365 message encryption, and data loss prevention (DLP). You will explore in-depth how to manage records in SharePoint, handle archiving and retention in Exchange, and implement retention policies through the Security and Compliance Center. The course also teaches you how to build ethical walls in Exchange Online, create DLP policies using built-in templates, customize DLP policies, protect documents with DLP policies, and create policy tips.
Furthermore, you will learn how to manage data governance effectively, including troubleshooting retention policies and policy tips, handling sensitive data, implementing Azure Information Protection, and using Windows Information Protection. The course also covers advanced search and investigation techniques, such as searching for content in the Security and Compliance Center, conducting auditing log investigations, and managing advanced eDiscovery.
Finally, the course provides an extensive look at Microsoft 365 device management. You will start by planning various aspects of device management, including preparing your Windows 10 devices for co-management. The transition from Configuration Manager to Intune is explained, along with the introduction of the Microsoft Store for Business and Mobile Application Management. You will then move on to implementing device management strategies, such as deploying Windows Autopilot, using Windows Analytics, and managing Mobile Device Management (MDM). This section includes detailed instructions on deploying MDM, enrolling devices in MDM, and ensuring device compliance.
