Course Outline

Participants will gain knowledge and practical experience in the following QA and testing areas:

  • The VOICE model for delivering business value through IT
  • IT delivery models, with a focus on DevOps
  • Cross-functional teams and continuous quality engineering
  • The whole-team approach and its relevance to Dev and Ops professionals
  • QA and testing topics, including:
    • Code reviews and pull requests
    • Continuous improvement and metrics
  • Continuous integration, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Total cost of quality
  • Indicators, reporting, and alerting mechanisms
  • Quality assurance measures
  • Personal, interpersonal, and team skills
  • Various testing types (performance, usability, security, and more)
  • Experience-based testing methods, such as exploratory and mob testing
  • Test design techniques, including boundary value analysis, path coverage, condition-oriented testing, code coverage, and mutation testing

The course provides hands-on experience through concise introductions followed by practical exercises, while also encouraging participants to share their own experiences. Participants will also practice exam-style questions throughout the training.

On the last afternoon, participants will take the 30-question, one-hour exam for 'TMAP: Quality for Cross-Functional Teams,' conducted in collaboration with iSQI.

Requirements

Participants are expected to have foundational knowledge in information technology, teamwork, and Agile methodologies. No prior specific certifications are mandatory.
