The curriculum is designed around a real-world process I previously managed manually for a former employer. We will construct a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to monitor tasks related to houses under construction (with data stored on SharePoint for simplicity). Additionally, we will leverage Power Virtual Agents to demonstrate how users can activate bots within Microsoft Teams. These bots will guide users to document locations that may be dispersed across various SharePoint sites, such as loan documents, budgets, and sales contracts. I believe there is significant potential for these bots to assist HR and IT teams in addressing repetitive inquiries. Furthermore, I will show you how to configure simple flows in Power Automate to capture attachments from specific senders (in our course example, this involves saving inspection attachments organized by the bank for the units). We will also explore additional flows that save data from Microsoft Forms to SharePoint and establish fully automated processes using the Approvals app within Microsoft Teams. After completing the app, bot, and flow, the final phase involves creating a straightforward Power BI report. We will use Power Automate to dispatch a snapshot of the table containing the most recent completed tasks every two weeks to a designated recipient (in this example, the bank). This report will include the dates the tasks were completed and their associated budget amounts, all of which are collected via the app. Please note that this course is very high-level. I encourage all learners to use ChatGPT to handle more technical aspects, such as coding and formulas in Power Apps. However, the course does cover this topic, demonstrating how to effectively utilize ChatGPT to assist with Power Apps formulas.
