Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement

A major financial services firm sought to transition from an industry-leading BI solution for one of its key products to an Open Source platform (Superset), aiming to achieve significant reductions in license costs.

Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to fully grasp the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this assessment, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project's progress. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture to meet the specific reporting needs of each report type. The consultant recommended modifications to the data stores to optimize Superset’s functionality and ensure peak performance, providing the implementation team with the necessary guidance for these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To meet specific presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation, such as drill-down features.

Outcome The consultants have continued to build new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the client organization to maintain these dashboards and reports. The project remains ongoing and has been positively received by both the client's business operations and their end clients. Highlighting the project's success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
