Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services firm sought to transition away from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution for one of their key products. To significantly reduce licensing expenses, they opted to migrate to an open-source platform (Superset).

Deliverables NobleProg held several project meetings with the client to gain a comprehensive understanding of the requirements, scope, risks, and the existing technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a detailed Statement of Work to guide and track the project's progress. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs for each report type. To ensure optimal performance and effective use of Superset, the consultant recommended modifications to the data stores and provided guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a wide range of reports, addressing both existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To meet the specific data presentation needs, custom plugins were developed to enable more interactive features, such as drill-down capabilities.

Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer's organization to maintain these dashboards and reports autonomously.

The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the client's business operations and their end customers. Reflecting the project's success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end-user clients.
